US approves sale of TH-73A helicopters to Philippines


The US State Division has permitted an estimated $120m potential overseas navy sale of TH-73A coaching helicopters and related assist to the Philippines.  

The Philippines’ request consists of TH-73A coaching helicopters, an plane simulator, spare engines, pack up kits, gas tanks, plane hoists and lifts, amongst different gadgets.

GlobalData’s report forecasts an increase in the Philippines’ defence budget from $4.9bn in 2025 to $6.2bn in 2029, with a compound annual development charge (CAGR) of 6.2% over the interval.  

The acquisition finances can also be projected to develop from $701.1m in 2025 to $849.9m in 2029, marking a CAGR of 4.9%.
