
The Israel Ministry of Protection (IMOD) is poised to finalise a deal for 2 further Boeing-manufactured KC-46 refuelling plane, augmenting the Israel Protection Pressure’s (IDF) aerial refuelling capabilities.
The procurement, directed by IMOD director normal main normal Amir Baram, awaits the inexperienced mild from the Israel Protection Procurement Ministerial Committee.

Baram mentioned: “The fifth and sixth refuelling plane will strengthen the IAF – the IDF’s long-range strategic arm – enabling it to succeed in distant theatres with larger pressure and scope. We are going to proceed to work collectively to strengthen the IDF within the present marketing campaign and towards future challenges.”
The deal is a follow-on order to a earlier contract with the US Authorities, and if materialised, will enhance the Israeli Air Pressure’s new refuelling fleet to 6 KC-46 plane.
The primary order, introduced in 2022, included 4 Boeing KC-46A tankers for $927m.
The contract is valued at round $500m and can be financed by US support funds.
Boeing’s KC-46A is a wide-body plane designed for gasoline transport, cargo, passenger carriage, and medical evacuation.
In March 2020, the US State Division accredited an estimated $2.4bn international navy sale of as much as eight KC-46 plane to Israel.
