A dozen States sued the Trump administration within the U.S. Court docket of Worldwide Commerce in New York on Wednesday (April 23, 2025) to cease its tariff coverage, saying it’s illegal and has introduced chaos to the American financial system.

The lawsuit stated the coverage put in place by President Donald Trump has been topic to his “whims quite than the sound train of lawful authority.”
